Dear Father

Today would have been my father’s 67th birthday. The anniversary of his passing approaches and not a day goes by that I do not reflect on him, on the time we shared, on the wisdom he labored to instill in me. It is nearly impossible to put into words what I feel. It is ridiculous actually that I write of it here. Then why do I write this? The loss of my dear father is but a prick of light in the night sky compared to the suffering of some. It reminds me that I am human. It reminds me to be thoughtful in my decisions, to live each day with passion and to share what I know of this crazy existence with others. Only together can we make the world great for ourselves and for each other. My father certainly believed this. Here’s to remembering.

  1. Jeremy: That was very inspirational. It says a lot of your character, not mourning introspectively only, but also looking to how you can learn from your father’s values.
