New Design And A Bit Of What I Am Up To
Welcome friends to yet another design tweak of this here site of mine. This iteration was done incredibly fast as I am overwhelmed with work but I forced in an hour here and there to celebrate an upcoming project release. The formal announcement of the project will be made here shortly, within a day or two to be exact, but I can say it is good to be on this end of its development. I very much look forward to its evolution as a resource and hope many will find it useful.
In other news I recently purchased a new Subaru WRX turbo and continue to be impressed with its performance. Given the choice I would prefer to not have a car but conditions in Pittsburgh and my location therein render it difficult, if not impossible for me to get by without one. At least not without serious frustration. It handles like a dream in snow and rain, the design details of the interior are much improved from previous versions and it is overall solid, responsive and very high quality. So, consider a Subaru should you be in the market.
Back to this design. Overall, it is simple as is most of my work and I had some fun with the RSS feed link in the footer by drawing a guitar input which is obviously a non-traditional RSS icon but fits the concept of plugging into content with a creative and more personal touch. I imagine it will at least grab some folks’ attention. The other page I played with was the contact page. Again, a silly thematic approach to the whole “leave a note” concept but I like it.
As I allude to above tomorrow brings a big product announcement which I am excited about. I will try and put an entry together to describe my involvement and provide a bit of insight into the design process for the current iteration and things to come.
Like I have said previously, great work with the redesign, I really like it.

Wow! I really like this incarnation. I think this might be the fourth or fifth redesign of your site I’ve seen and this is my favorite. Your use of silver is awesome!
