That's What I Call Service
Yesterday, while my partners and I sat in a Starbucks (yuch) comparing notes from a meeting we had with a startup in New York a guy sitting at a nearby table politely interjected to point out that he had noticed the small chip on my friend’s Macbook. He went on to say he worked at the Flagship Apple store in Manhattan and that my friend should bring his Macbook in and he would help to replace the affected parts. What? With what other product would one receive such kind service from an employee not at work, with no possibility for commission? Label us Apple enthusiasts a cult or whatever demeaning, jealous term you would like but I challenge you to share a similar experience with any product as my friends and I experienced yesterday. Pride and passion are what inspired that guy to reach out and be helpful. You know, it is the small experiences one has daily with their Apple product and the exceptional such as the one I have just described that make the experience of working with such a quality product great.
I am continually amazed when entering an Apple store or waiting in line for the latest version of OS X by the excitement and passion surrounding a computing product. In the years I spent tethered to a PC with Windows not once did I experience the inspiration and satisfaction that I now do daily. Ok, off the soapbox.
I very much agree!!I think Apple is wonderful!!
